Doggie is Addisons first official word! She has actually been saying it for quite awhile now, but I wanted to make sure that I was hearing it correctly before I made it official. Anytime she see's a dog, of any type, size or color, she will point and yell "Doggie!" She can also point out a doggie in any of her books or on anything we see at the store. The other day she pulled out 4 ads from the paper that all had doggie's on them. She also says:Dada, Daddy, Doggie and she tries to say duck. I am noticing a trend in the "D" words. She hasnt quite mastered Mommy yet, but I am not giving up hope yet. She also is pretty close to saying kitty (itty). There is a kitty across the street that comes over every time we open the front door. She gets so excited and loves to pet the cat. She is such an animal lover!
She has also mastered some good listening skills! She can do pretty much anything I tell her to do. Here are a few things she listens and answers too:
-when I ask her for a kiss or hug she will give me one
-when you ask her where her baby doll is she will look around the house for it- same with her stuffed animal "Piggy" she then proceeds to kiss them everytime
-when I say lets take the doggies out she runs to the back door
-when I tell her to give them a "treat" she goes and gets the box of dog treats
-when its "Bye bye" time she goes to the door
-when I say "Milk" she will go to the fridge
-when I say lets brush your teeth she opens her mouth big and wide and goes "Aaaahhhhhh" all the way to the bathroom (this one is hilarious!)
-when we say "night night" she goes in her room
There are also a few other things, but she is picking up on Key words that I try to use frequently so she will pick up on them. She is also living up to her nickname "Addy-tude". She has recently started throwing spouts of temper tantrums, so now the time has come to teach her rules and set boundaries. And I thought getting her to take a nap was hard! Sometimes I wonder where my sweet little innocent baby went...
